The International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI) announced today that Minera Frisco S.A.B. de C.V.’s status as a signatory to the International Cyanide Management Code (Cyanide Code) has ended. The Cyanide Code is a voluntary industry program for companies involved in the production of gold and/or silver using cyanide and companies manufacturing and transporting this cyanide. Minera Frisco is a gold and silver mining company operating in Mexico. The company became a signatory to the Cyanide Code on March 5, 2013; none of its operations were certified in compliance with the Cyanide Code since that date. Minera Frisco’s participation in the Cyanide Code Program has ceased as of this date.
