The International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI) announced today that Unipetrol Deutschland GmbH (Unipetrol) has withdrawn as a signatory to the International Cyanide Management Code for the Manufacture, Transport and Use of Cyanide in the Production of Gold (Cyanide Code). Unipetrol, a German company, became a signatory in January 2012 in the category of transporter/consignor of sodium cyanide for supply chains in Europe and Asia, but the supply chains did not achieve Cyanide Code certification. This voluntary withdrawal is effective this date.
