Additional Information or Comments

Receipt and management of cyanide at the ports of Dakar (Senegal), Takoradi (Ghana), Tema (Ghana), Walvis Bay (Namibia), and Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), followed by road transportation using the certified transporters Bollore Africa Logistics, BLMS and Vehrad. F.P. du Toit was removed from AGR’s Africa Supply chain on January 3, 2020, and has withdrawn from the Cyanide Code program. AGR has informed ICMI that it intends to begin using the Port of Conakry and the certified transporter Transport Terrassement Minier to transport cyanide within this supply chain beginning in March 2020.  An audit to include these additional supply chain components must be conducted within 6 months of their first use to transport cyanide.
AGR shipments to Africa were previously managed through the following individually certified supply chains: West African Supply Chain – Ghana, Burkina Faso & Mali (certified August 2010 and January 2014), West African Supply Chain – Namibia (certified August 2010 and January 2014), West African Supply Chain – Senegal and Mali (certified August 2010 and March 2014), Côte d’Ivoire Supply Chain (certified December 2018), and East Africa Supply chain – Tanzania (certified October 2013).
