The International Cyanide Management Institute announced today that Heap Leach Systems S.A. de C.V., has voluntarily withdrawn as a signatory to the International Cyanide Management Code (Cyanide Code). Heap Leach Systems operates a cyanide supply chain in Mexico, including a cyanide transloading terminal in Sonora, Mexico. Heap Leach Systems became a signatory to the Cyanide Code on February 23, 2015 and its supply chain was certified under the Cyanide Code on October 8, 2015. The withdrawal is effective this date. The Cyanide Code is a voluntary industry program for companies involved in the production of gold and/or silver using cyanide and companies manufacturing and transporting this cyanide.
