Aruntani SAC Withdraws from Cyanide Code Program

The International Cyanide Management Institute announced today that Aruntani SAC has withdrawn as a signatory to the International Cyanide Management Code (Cyanide Code). The Cyanide Code is a voluntary industry program for companies involved in the production of gold and silver using cyanide, and the manufacturing and transport of cyanide. Aruntani operates the Tucari mine in Peru, and is in the process of winding down that operation.  The company has been a participant in the Cyanide Code program since 2006.  The Tucari mine was certified in compliance with the Cyanide Code three times, with the last certification dated December 6, 2016.  The withdrawal is effective this date.
