Additional Information or Comments Polymetal International plc has completed the divestment of its Russian business on 7 March 2024. Polymetal International plc is now the 2nd largest gold producer in Kazakhstan and operates Varvara hub (Varvara and Komar mine) and Kyzyl. Varvara is now our only operating facility using cyanide and is fully certified both as a gold mining company and separately as a cyanide transporter. The use of cyanide is also planned at the Ertis POX in Kazakhstan (commissioning is planned in 2028), where, after commissioning, the Cyanide Management System will also be introduced and the corresponding certification for compliance with the Cyanide Code will be completed. Oversight of the matters related to cyanide management at Polymetal International plc’s former assets in Russia (including Amursk POX and Voro) is now entrusted to the executives of the JSC Polymetal, the holding company for our former Russian assets, and its new owner – JSC Mangazeya Plus. |
